Dimitar Toshkov

Jean Monnet fellow
Dimiter Toshkov is a Jean Monnet fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advances Studies (RSCAS) at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence and Associate Professor of Public Administration at Leiden University in The Netherlands. His research interests cover comparative public policy, European integration, and research methodology. He has written on asylum policy in Europe, including an analysis of the reciprocal effects between asylum flows and asylum recognition rates. His other work includes studies of policy responsiveness, legislative decision-making, and compliance in the European Union. He has also published a comprehensive textbook on Research Design in Political Science (2016, Palgrave Macmillan). His current projects focus on the impact of immigration on Euroscepticism and on developing a methodology for assessing the impact of migration policies.
