Biography

Federico Russo is an Associate Professor of political science at the University of Salento. His research focuses on legislative studies, Italian politics, and European integration. He is a regular contributor to the Italian Dossier Statistico Immigrazione, where he analyses Italian policies on irregular migration. Dr. Russo is the author of MPs’ Roles and Representation (2022) and the co-editor of the Research Handbook of Political Representation (2020). He is the Principal Investigator of the Horizon Europe project REDIRECT (2023-2027) and was recently awarded the Jean Monnet Chair EURECA (2025-2028).
