Biography

Dr Sanzhuan (Sandra) Guo is an Associate Professor from Flinders Law School, Flinders University, Australia. She was a Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Law School’s Human Rights Program in 2025 (Jan to Jun). She is (Co)Rapporteur of the International Law Association’s Committee on International Migration and International Law (2021 to present). Guo is qualified to practise law in three countries: Australia, China and the USA, and she is an accredited immigration law specialist in Australia. Her research focus is on international migration law, international human rights law, and nuclear-related issues. Her recent publications include a book chapter ‘Conflict and Statelessness: A Case Study of Descendants of the KMT Secret Army in Thailand’ (CUP, 2025), an article on climate migration and the Australia-Tuvalu Falepili Union Treaty (REMI, forthcoming), and three articles on deportation published by Griffith Law Review in a two-volume special issue on deportation (Vol 34, Issues 2 and 3, 2025).
