Biography
Vanessa Arnold is a trainee at the Migration Policy Centre of the European Univer-sity Institute.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree summa cum laude in Foreign Languages, Cultures, Literature, and Translation from La Sapienza University of Rome, and a Master’s Degree summa cum laude in International Relations with a focus on Peace, War, and Security from Roma Tre University. Her Master’s thesis, titled ‘Human Rights, Racism, and Peace: The Black Lives Matter Movement from 2013 to 2021,’ was completed in 2021.
Vanessa previously worked with Asinitas, an NGO providing intercultural education and sup-port for refugees and asylum seekers. As part of the FUTURA project in collaboration with Save the Children, she supported the implementation of personalized educational plans for girls and young women at risk of social exclusion.
She also volunteered with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), where she contributed to H.O.P.E (Health Orientation, Promotion, and Education), a social and health service for migrants.
