A youth-led programme in Florence to bring migrants and locals together

This initiative by the European University Institute (EUI) and UNICEF Office for Europe and Central Asia connects unaccompanied minors, young adults, Italian high-school students and members of academia to build leadership, empathy and civic participation.

With over 17,000 unaccompanied and Separated Children (in italian MSNA)  currently in Italy, there is an opportunity to create pathways for their inclusion.

U-Lead was created through the close collaboration of over 50 stakeholders—from reception centres and NGOs to local government in Florence—united by a shared commitment to empower young people and build stronger, active communities.

U-Lead is making headlines, see the coverage.
