Join this seminar that will examine the health and well-being of Bangladeshi migrants in Italy.

Bangladeshi migrants in Italy face hardship and difficulty integrating in their new host country. The paper that will be presented in the seminar seeks to examine their health and well-being. Using a survey developed for this study, the paper examines how these migrants are faring. More than 1000 surveys were administered in May-July 2022 in the broad metropolitan region of Milan and Rome. The survey questions cover not only the more traditional questions that measure health and access to health care but also indicators of subjective well-being, including the impact of the migrants’ work and remittances on family members in the host or home country. The findings offer new insights on a few related challenges that migrants face.
