I am an Assistant Professor in Political Philosophy at the University of Genoa. I am also a Research Associate at the African Centre for Epistemology and Philosophy of Science (University of Johannesburg). I held research and teaching positions at Uppsala University, Brown University, Goethe University Frankfurt, LUISS-Guido Carli, the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, and the University of Milan. My work on hate, counterspeech, and inclusion/exclusion in democratic theory appeared in journals such as Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, European Journal of Political Theory, Political Theory, Political Studies, and Social Theory and Practice. I’ve been consulting with international organizations on labor migration from, within, and to the West Africa, migration and the internet, rural-urban migration in Africa. Research focus/Fields of interest: intolerant discourse, counterspeech, labor migration, the Internet and migration. Core discipline: political theory.
