Podcast ‘Across Borders’

'Across Borders' is a podcast realised by students of the Master in Transnational Governance in collaboration with the EUI’s Migration Policy Centre. The goal of this podcast is to show how research can help addressing policy challenges that arise in the context of migration and displacement. Each episode is a twenty-minute interview with leading experts from academia, civil society, and international organisations.

First season: Spring 2022

Students were supervised by Dr Lorenzo Piccoli, as part of the course on 'The Global Politics of Migration'. In this season, students paid particular attention to migration across the Mediterranean Sea, Brexit, the role of the media, the impact of gender on refugees’ lives and how migrants can become pawns in international politics.

Mixing, mastering and music by Adriana Urbano and Michele Giovanardi.

Second season: Spring 2023

Students were supervised by Dr Lorenzo Piccoli and Susanna Garside, as part of the course on 'The Architecture of Migration Governance'. In this season, students paid particular attention to gender and social inequalities, applying these lenses to issues as diverse as displacement, access to citizenship, the rise of anti-immigration parties, and climate-induced migration.

Mixing, mastering and music by Andrius Romaška.
